About
I'm Ayo, a builder based in Newcastle upon Tyne. I make software that solves real, unglamorous problems: the back-office work that quietly runs a business, handled so the people doing it can focus on what matters.
My thesis is simple. The leverage one person can get from good software is enormous, and growing. Work that used to need a whole team can increasingly be done well by a single focused person with the right tools. I build for that person, and most days I am that person.
I write here about what I'm building and what I'm learning along the way. If something resonates, I'd like to hear from you.

Ayo Owolabi is a builder making software that lets one person operate like a whole team.
Ayo Owolabi builds software that solves real problems for the people who run things, mostly the scattered back-office work that quietly keeps a business going. His products give independent operators the kind of leverage that used to require a team. He writes about building, the craft of doing it largely on your own, and the shifts in technology that go deeper than the usual takes.

He runs a portfolio of products at different stages. Scarab HQ is an AI-augmented back office that brings every channel a founder works across into one place, so one person can operate like a team. Minipod is the calm back office for coaches. Legworker takes the legwork out of the job search. Intentlift turns visitor intent into revenue for businesses. Through his consultancy, Bedrock, he does hands-on product and engineering work for teams that need to ship something real.
